School Council decided that they would like to use this day to raise some funds both for our school and for the ‘Great Minds Bright Futures’ charity who support vulnerable and orphaned children who attend a school in Malawi.
Helped by the PTA we held a “FUN” run in the afternoon where the children (some joined by family members) ran, walked, skipped and even danced laps of the school field! On the day, school uniform swapped for sports gear and there were a few red noses to be seen. The children were encouraged to get sponsored for their efforts and so far they have raised an amazing sum in excess £1000.
