Welcome to Reception! We are known as "Twinkle Class".

In Twinkle Class we are expected to bring the following items into school every day:

EYFS Curriculum Planning 2024-25
Class One
Teachers: Mrs Wright and Miss Mellor (Miss Benson maternity leave)
Teaching Assistant: Mrs Furness
In Class 1 we learn lots of fun things. We explore, sing, dance and smile! We try our best, help each other and learn together.

In Class One we are expected to bring the following items into school every day:

Water bottle

Reading Record

Reading book

Our teachers expect us to read with an adult every day for 5-10 minutes. Our reading needs to be recorded in our reading diaries and these will be checked every week.
​
Once a week we get to practise our mental maths skills in school. We may sometimes bring some home learning based on this.
​
We also do a home learning project every term - our home learning task for this term will be posted here soon.
The class teachers use Class Dojo to let parents know what great things are happening in our class.

Class Two
Teacher: Mrs Meese

In Class Two we are expected to bring the following items in with us every day:

Reading Book

Reading Diary

Any equipment I need to support my learning e.g. glasses

Our teachers expect us to read daily and with an adult a few times a week. This is to be recorded in our reading diaries and these will be checked every week.

We are expected to practise our times tables and/or division facts daily and will be tested on the ones we are working on every Friday. We can use Times Tables Rock Stars and Purple Mash to help us practise.
​
We have a Home Learning Spelling book that will have a spelling task stuck in each week linked to our learning. These tasks will be set on a Friday and expected back in by the following Thursday.

We will be set a variety of home learning projects related to our curriculum and we have to choose 2 to complete each half term.

Class Three

In Class Three we are expected to bring the following items into school every day:

Water bottle

Reading Record

Reading book

Our teacher expects us to read regularly and record our reading in our reading record. We have weekly spellings to learn and also times tables to practise.
We have regular home learning tasks. These include shorter tasks to support our learning in class and long term projects which we work on with our families.
We all have access to Purple Mash and Times Table Rock Stars so that we can extend our learning at home.
